Music Memories

There are many times when I'm driving in the car or chillin at home and I hear a song that automatically brings back an awesome memory. I love when this happens so I decided to compose a post of some of these songs that send me to the past!  First up: Firework by Katy Perry. My best friend Jaz and I absolutely LOVE this song and have no shame of singing it at the top of our lungs. We can hit every single note. Not.

Chicken Fried by Zac Brown Band brings me back to one successful night at the lakes. 

A group of us hopped in the Steamin' Stallion (the greatest van EVER), blared this song over the speakers, and took a night trip to the Ocheyedan Mound.  We couldn't help it - we obviously had to have a photoshoot.

That's Iowa for ya

Love the Way You Lie by Eminem and Rhianna brings back memories from the summer before my junior year of HS. My best friend Mag and I would arrive early to XC summer running and work on memorizing every word to this song. By the end of the summer we were both better rappers than Eminem himself. 

Ain't No Mountain High Enough by Marvin Gaye and Tammi Terrell was my go to song as a child. You could often find me dancing on my bed with a hairbrush in my hand jammin' to this gem.

Could it Be You (Punk Rock Chick) by HWood brings me back to my favorite year of dance team. 

We performed the sweetest dance to this song and completely owned it at State Dance!

Smoke A Little Smoke by Erich Church reminds me of days spent boating at the wonderful lakes

Big Booty by Ca$h Out. Yes, a bit inappropriate. But, this song was constantly playing throughout my freshman year of college. So many good memories were made while listening to this gooden.
