Can't Stop Laughing

So, the other night something happened to Hannah and I while we were getting home from grocery shopping.

The story goes like this:

Hannah was driving and I decided to help her out by opening the garage door. I know - so nice of me :)

But...while driving into the garage, the door opener somehow slipped in my hand and fell against my car seat..

Which activated the garage door causing it close a little earlier than expected

Soon enough we heard a big bang as the garage door descended on the top of our vehicle

Hannah and I quickly exchanged horrified looks

Hannah then proceeded to slam on the gas which caused the garage door to schreeeech across the top of the vehicle

After escaping the garage door all Hannah and I could do was burst out laughing

We eventually were able to pull ourselves together and hop out of the car to check out the damage to the top of the vehicle

A few scratches never hurt anyone right??

Once the vehicle was safely parked, we stood in the garage for a decent amount of time wiping tears off our faces from laughing so hard

We then debated whose fault it was

Of course, Hannah blamed the incident on me BUT if she wouldn't have slammed on the gas and instead let the garage door come down to rest on the vehicle, I could have quickly activated the garage door to go back up without any scratches!

So, this incident is OBVI Hannah's fault :)

Once everything was settled we began to reminisce on other incidents that have happened with that same vehicle. This brought up the time that I accidentally took my cat to school with me. But, that story is for another day!

Has anyone else had their garage door come down on their vehicle or something of that sort?

Hope everyone is having a relaxing Sunday!

  1. Never had the garage door slam on the car. But there may or may not have been a time I hit the side of my new Oldsmobile (no laughing at my age now!! ) on the side of the big iron poll that our house trailer was sitting on because I couldn't back up.

Man reading that comment...it makes me sound like some horrible redneck person lol...

  3. Haha oh my gosh! I actually a experienced something like this a long time ago. When I was in elementary school I was over at my friends house and we were playing outside and we saw her mom coming home so my friend opened the garage for her mom and I guess her mom didn't realize what she was doing and pushed the garage opener too and the garage went down on her mom's van. I remember her mom was so mad but we couldn't stop laughing! lol Sometimes you just have to!
